This photo is of my garage that was built in 1924 along with my home and was the inspiration for “The Yellow Craftsman.” When my garage needed some love and care from years of wear, I didn’t have the heart to tear it down and decided to keep but update it with the same maintenance free lapboard vinyl siding on my home and custom built barn doors. The original wood lapboards to the garage still exist underneath the siding and could always be ressurected in the future if there was ever a desire, but at my age I’m looking for easy maintenance.
Our homes are becoming our sanctuaries these days and I do believe the trend will continue. I will be sharing additional photos of my home and projects I’m involved in as I build out this site so come back frequently or sign up to receive updates in your mailbox. Until then, I hope you get inspired, gather some knowledge and find the resources you need for your home.
I have been passionate for the creative process all my life and was a magazine junkie absorbing as much as I could until I finally decided to secure my degree in Interior Design in 2001, the best decision I could have ever made. I’ve enjoyed working with people with fixing up their homes through kitchen remodels, bath remodels, and space planning. In 2011, I decided to get my license in real estate to help even more people with the decisions they face in finding or creating the home that speaks to them.
I hope you get inspired, gather some knowledge and find resources for all your home needs on this website. Please feel free to connect with me through my contact page.
